<< Back to the Internship Hub Home Page
Internships have transformed over time from exploratory to high-impact experiences that play a significant role in an organization’s talent strategy. Yet, many teams may be small or inexperienced at starting and scaling formal internship opportunities. Fortunately, the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts designed an incredible toolkit to help organizations of all sizes and experience get started. Whether you want to create a quality experience for one intern or develop a robust internship program for many, use this toolkit to make the greatest impact.

This Internship Toolkit for Employers was developed by staff of the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts as part of its nationally-recognized Career Readiness Initiative. It has been made available to GREATER MSP to support the MAKE IT. MSP. Council's efforts to expand access to paid internships for all students across the region. The purpose of the Toolkit is to support employers seeking to enhance or establish high quality internship programs that strengthen their early talent recruitment and development strategies. The content of this toolkit was drafted through the perspective of a four-year college system but could be easily adapted for interns of all educational and training backgrounds.
