Fifty-one years ago, when the IDS Center emerged on the Minneapolis skyline, one company kept the building’s internal temperature regulated, reliable and comfortable. Even today, Cordia Energy (then NRG) continues to heat and cool the now modernist classic and its Crystal Court, a relationship that has withstood the test of time.
“When IDS was built, our energy plant started as a joint venture with IDS and Minnegasco. We had just one customer,” says Jacob Graff, Cordia’s regional general manager. “Today, we have 103 customers. We’re one of the biggest.”
