GREATER MSP is pleased to announce Portia Robertson Migas as the new Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
In this position, Portia will serve as ‘chief executive storyteller’ and global brand strategist for the region. She will be responsible for managing and leading all aspects of the GREATER MSP Partnership’s marketing and communication strategy, campaigns, media and public relations, issues management and program initiatives. Portia will create and execute an innovative strategic marketing and communications plan in collaboration with GREATER MSP's hardworking, professional staff and a set of marketing and communications leaders from across the region.
Portia has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of leadership roles at ABC News and NPR. Portia joined NPR to become the editorial lead for Tell Me More with Michel Martin, a daily hour-long broadcast. She subsequently became General Manager of New Programming, where she worked on TED Radio Hour and helped launch the pilot season of Invisibilia. While at ABC News, Portia produced a wide array of content — from newsmagazine features to breaking news for World News Tonight.
Prior to joining GREATER MSP, Portia served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications Strategy for Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), a national nonprofit that is transforming the leadership pipelines of more than 120 leading organizations by driving breakthrough results for individuals and institutions.
