Tom Martinez moved from San Francisco to be Chief Customer Officer of When I Work, the Minneapolis-based staff scheduling software company that has over 20,000 customers worldwide.
He was formerly with Zenefits and Salesforce in San Francisco and has been pleasantly surprised by the tech scene here. In this interview, Martinez said the company has grown by more than 50 percent -- and hasn't had any problem finding the tech workforce needed for growth.
When I Work's app launched in 2010 and now has nearly half a million people in over 50 countries who rely on the software for "employee scheduling, time clock and communication."
