The Center Cities Competitiveness Initiative is a new partnership of the Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Hennepin and Ramsey Counties, the Minneapolis and Saint Paul Regional Chambers of Commerce, the Saint Paul Port Authority, McKnight Foundation, Minnesota Philanthropy Partners, and GREATER MSP to accelerate job growth and capital investment in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
With a priority focus on North and Northeast Minneapolis and Saint Paul's East Side and Midway areas, we are working to build and sustain prosperity through economic development.
Partner collaboration is focused on the following goals:
- Capitalize on the unique brand of each city to target talent and businesses in specific U.S. and international markets.
- Grow jobs with effective Business Retention & Expansion effort targeting economic sectors of opportunity.
- Increase inventory of clean, shovel-ready sites.
- Close more deals to increase job creation and capital investment.
