Forbes: Minnesota #1 Fastest Growing State for Tech Jobs

The growth here in tech jobs, at 8.36 percent, is the fastest-growing in the nation, according to Forbes. 

 

Why is Minnesota #1?

  

The number of headquarters like UnitedHealth Group, General Mills, 3M, U.S. Bancorp and Target is one reason, according to Forbes. Another is "Medical Alley," with Medtronic, St. Jude Medical and Boston Scientific having armies of workers. Forbes says our region also has an impressive number of fast-growing tech companies like Code42, SPS Commerce and JAMF Software. The story also lists some of the IT job openings in our region.
