The Greater MSP region is experiencing a greater diversity in the ownership and operation of manufacturing companies.

One recent example is Matsuura Machinery Corporation, based in Japan. When Matsuura wanted to create a wholly-owned American subsidiary, it chose St. Paul and a location in the River Bend Business Center.

Matsuura makes manufacturing machining centers  - with a specialty in five axis-machining centers that can pivot the tool or part for different orientations. The St. Paul headquarters expands Matsuura operations in Japan, Europe and Canada.

One of the key reasons for choosing the Greater MSP region was the central location.
